Hand branches RSP-70, RSKZ-70 are designed to shut off water flow, to form and to direct a continuous or sprayed jet of water with a permanent angle of spray cone. Hand branch RSKZ-70 is also designed to form a protective water-screen, which can protect a fireman against thermal radiation.

Hand branches RS-50 and RS-70 are designed to from and direct a continuous jet of water to extinguish fire and are constituent parts of fire engines, motor-driven pumps, and indoor fire cocks. The get range was determined at a height of 1 m, a tilt of 0,52 rad (30°) with respect to horizon, and a pressure of 0,4 MPa (4 kgf/cm2) as measured upstream of a branch.

Air foam branches SVP and SVPE are designed to produce air foam from a water solution of foaming agent as well as to form and direct its jet during fire extinguishing. Under the term "foam expansion ratio" the of foam volume resulting at a branch outlet to the initial volume of solution is understood.
